1. Introduction

BizBuzzHub ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information about you when you use our website and software services (the "Service"), in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Collection of Personal Information

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for us to provide our Service. This includes:

• Account Information: Name, business name, email address, phone number, and password.
• Payment Information: Credit card details (processed securely by our third-party payment processor, Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers.
• Order & Shipping Details: Your shipping address and order history when you purchase a physical product (such as a review plaque).
• Usage Data: Information about how you use our platform, including IP address, browser type, and operating system.
• Content You Upload: Photos, logos, and other media for your business website, including details about team members you choose to publish. You are responsible for having their consent to publish this information.
• Customer Data: When your customers interact with your business's BizBuzzHub page — submitting an enquiry form, joining your loyalty program, or being added to your contacts — we collect and store on your behalf the details they provide (such as name, email, phone number, and message content), and we may transmit messages you compose to them by SMS.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To process transactions and send related information, including confirmations and invoices.
• To send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages.
• To comply with our legal obligations (e.g., tax laws).

AI processing: We use AI models hosted on AWS (Amazon Bedrock) to help generate your website content — for example, writing business descriptions and extracting your menu or price list from photos you upload. Information you submit to these features is processed by the model to provide the Service and is not used to train it.

4. Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose your personal information to:

• Service Providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate our business (e.g., AWS for hosting, email/SMS delivery, and AI processing; Stripe for payments; Shopify, which hosts our merchandise shop; Google, for business search and address lookup; and order-fulfilment partners who ship physical products you order). We require these providers to protect your information.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or regulatory authority.

Some of our service providers may be located or process data outside Australia (including the United States and other regions where our cloud providers operate). By using the Service, you consent to this cross-border transfer.

5. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Choices

Access and Correction: You may update your business profile information by logging into the Service. If you sign in with Google, your password is managed in your Google account. To correct account details such as your email address, phone number, or password, contact us at support@bizbuzzhub.com. You can request access to the personal information we hold about you by contacting us.

Data Deletion: You may request deletion of your personal information by emailing support@bizbuzzhub.com. We will process your request in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and respond within 30 days. Please note that we may need to retain certain information for legal or operational purposes, such as billing records.

Marketing Communications: You may opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by following the instructions in those emails. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account.

7. Google Business Profile data

BizBuzzHub may access data from your Google Business Profile when you choose to connect your Google account and grant permission. This section describes what we read, how we use it, and how you can revoke access.

What we read (when access is granted):

• Account names and account IDs you manage on Google Business Profile
• Location names, addresses, phone numbers, opening hours, primary categories, and the photos you have uploaded to your Business Profile

How we use it:

• Listing the businesses your Google account manages, so you can pick which one to build a website for
• Pre-filling your BizBuzzHub website with those business details, to save you from retyping information you've already published on Google
• Copying your own Business Profile photos into your website (only with your consent, and only for the business you selected)

Authorization token: When you connect, Google issues us an authorization token, which we store securely so you don't have to reconnect every time. Revoking access (see below) invalidates this token, and it is deleted when you delete your BizBuzzHub account.

Read-only use: We use Google Business Profile data on a read-only basis. We do not edit, create, delete, or publish changes to your Google Business Profile. Any improvements we suggest are carried out by you directly in Google.

Limited Use: BizBuzzHub's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention: Business details you choose to import (such as your business name, address, phone number, opening hours, and category) are saved into your BizBuzzHub business profile so they appear on your website, and remain there until you edit or remove them. Photos you choose to import are copied into your website's secure storage and displayed on your website until you replace or remove them. Other location data is cached for up to 24 hours to minimise API load. Review data is displayed live and not stored in our own database. All Google Business Profile-derived data, including imported photos, is deleted when you delete your BizBuzzHub account.

What we do NOT do: We never modify your Google Business Profile; never use Google Business Profile data for advertising; never aggregate one merchant's Google Business Profile data with another's; and never share it with third parties.

How to revoke: You can revoke our access at any time via Google Account permissions, or by deleting your BizBuzzHub account.
